Description

Featuring the Adrian Dunn Singers and the Rize Orchestra

Adrian Dunn, Colburn’s Director of Choral Programs, leads a concert in celebration of the Emancipation: Act 2 album release and Black History Month. The program will be performed by the Adrian Dunn Singers and Rize Orchestra, both all-Black professional ensembles founded by Dunn and dedicated to transforming classical music and the music industry at large.

Emancipation: Act 2 is the second installment in the trilogy cycle composed by Adrian Dunn exploring Black life in America through genres created by Black Americans. Featuring acapella spirituals and original compositions for chorus and orchestra, Emancipation: Act 2 will be released on all streaming platforms on February 3, 2023.
